Moyaone Modern is an organization dedicated to the preservation, education and promotion of mid-century modern architecture within Piscataway Park, a 5000-acre national park bordering the shores of the Potomac River in Accokeek, Maryland. The works of architects Charles F. Wagner, Charles M. Goodman, Casper Neer, Charles F.D. Egbert, Charles Esten and many others are represented in the residential section of the park in a community called the Moyaone Reserve.
Formally established by an act of Congress in 1961, the Piscataway Park preserves one of our nation’s greatest historic treasures: the view from George Washington’s Mount Vernon home. It also preserves sacred native American spaces, historic architecture, and a peaceful way of life unlike no other residential community in the Washington DC area.
